Capt. Devasish Basu began his career in shipping in 1976 with the Shipping Corporation of India, where he spent 21 years at sea gaining extensive practical and technical experience in the industry. After moving ashore in 1997, he accumulated close to three decades of experience in operational and commercial shipping, including leading the Chartering Division at a major Indian shipping and logistics company.
